Leasure was started at the Tribalscale Hackathon. We aimed to make the transition to a driverless economy easier. We placed 2nd and won $800 for this project.
Introduction
We are moving towards a driverless economy. It's the reason Uber and Lyft are so big right now!
- Current driverless solution care time efficient, and can be more economical than owning a car
- But they allow for very little freedom and can be expensive in some circumstances
- If only there was a way to have the best of both worlds...
Product
From that wish came Leasure. A way to own a car, but pay less than even public transit! The system is a car-sharing platform, where you buy cars with your friends and others.
- That way if you can still have a car, but the cost works out to be less than public transit
- Decreases the amount of time car owners have a car sitting in their driveway un-utilized
- We lease the car, and provide a platform for people to meet and split the costs of the car
